SUDDEN REALISATION ABOUT THE SILENCE

They were trying to save the Universe. By opening the Doctor’s tomb the Great Intelligence was going to reverse the Doctor’s victories - effectively destroying reality. They wanted to kill the Doctor so he wouldn’t answer the question and unlock his tomb - making “silence fall” when the GI asked. The Doctor faked his death and therefore the GI succeeded anyway(thanks to River, who stopped “silence” falling, by saying the Doctor’s name).

Only nobody expected Clara to save him.

I want the Doctor to take a kid as his companion.

A 14-15 year old kid who’s parents are fighting, has few friends, bad grades, and feels like complete shit before the Doctor comes.

No kissing, complicated relationships, confusion or stuff like that, just the Doctor taking a kid who doesn’t see much out of life for a ride.

And maybe, just maybe, after the trip, the kid’s view of life is changed.
